Now I have some larger vase forms in the works for a gallery in New Jersey and time is fleeting. It always takes me longer to make my pieces than I anticipate. But there's just no way to speed the process along since this current work involves extensive hand-etching. I've thought about other process for the imagery, such as decals... but it's just not the same. As long as I don't panic about the clock, I enjoy the time spent with each piece. I start out with a design and theme in mind, but the details of each piece unveil themselves to me as I poke along.
