Look what happened when I had an aching left hand... I couldn't throw pots on the wheel and started making lidded boxes. And, even though the hand is now healed up, I'm still on the boxes. Used to make boxes years ago, and now my interest is revived. The format gives so much surface and interesting angles to work out the etched designs.

These are in the gallery, ready for the Cambria Art & Wine Festival this weekend! I'll be open from 10 to 6 on Saturday and Sunday.

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT:
Several people have asked me to see images of the work for a possible purchase before the busy weekend. I've included multiple views of each piece. If you can't make it to the event and are interested in purchasing a piece, let me know. I so appreciate my out-of-town collectors and want to encourage your interest!

"Bird Box" is $230. "Bee Box" is $120. Prices plus tax and shipping, if applicable. You can email me here.

Also see other posts today with new tea bowls, platters/trays and mugs. Thanks!

    1. Hi! Yea, that's what I was thinking... and I hope to get back to the wheel this month, at least in short sessions. My shiny new pugger is ready to warm up the clay and save my hands from a little wear and tear... That's the plan anyway! Thanks for being my pottery blogging buddy!

  2. These are amazing! I just love everything about them. The form and the sgrafitto on that first box just blow me away.
