Whether you have had an artist page for a while or if you are a new Spotify artist, chances are you will experience these three phases at some point in your career:
Phase One: Excitement
When your artist page first gets added to Spotify’s library it’s an exciting time. Spotify is a completely new experience for artists. Not only that, but Spotify puts your music in front of a much larger audience and compensates you for doing what you love. At least that’s the first impression most artists have about being published on Spotify, and unfortunately it doesn’t end up like you pictured in most cases.
Phase Two: Frustration
If your artist or band name is similar many other Spotify artists then it could be a while before people can find your page in the search results on Spotify. Even when your artist page is found it doesn’t mean people will necessarily listen to your music. In addition to that, if your music doesn’t have many plays chances are people are going to skip over your music and move on to the next artist.
Receiving few plays week after week is extremely frustrating, especially after you have put so much time and effort into producing your music. After all, your music should be something that you have put your heart and soul into and when there aren’t many people who can appreciate that it can be veryfrustrating.
Phase Three: Desperation
At this point you have been on Spotify for some time and you’re still not seeing much growth in listeners or plays. What do you do? You start looking for ways to promote your music and get more people to play your tracks on Spotify. After all, there are a bunch of marketing campaigns you can run and organizations that can be hired to promote your music.
You are officially desperate to get more Spotify plays. So much in fact that as of late you are likely spending just as much if not more time promoting your music than playing it. If you have found or are in the position right now chances are you have come across at least one of the many websites that sell Spotify plays. As appealing as these services sound you need to be careful who you do business with. Unfortunately many of these companies are out to make a quick buck by offering cheap bot services that can get you a serious penalty.
Of the top few businesses that provide these services, the one I trust to buy Spotify plays from is Mass Media. I’ve ran several campaigns with these guys and the plays provided were always legitimate and paid royalties. Almost all the listeners from these campaigns were from the United States which is exactly what I was looking for. I admit that I was a little skeptical at first so I contacted their support team expressing some of my concerns. I honestly wasn’t expecting much of a response, especially not one on the same day, but one of their support agents responded right answering all of my questions.
I’ve used similar companies in the past that offered zero support and it was just an absolutely horrible experience for me. But working with Mass Media has been a complete game changer for me. Instead of spending hours trying to get people to listen to my music on Spotify, I create a campaign on massmediaplus.com in minutes.
